Inventory Day…Er… Week

Mood: Still feeling rushed even though I made it with time to spare
Song: Something by Someone [earworm, ho]
Drink: Water
Snack: Chocolate chip cookies

It’s time to take inventory of everything. Literally, everything. As you can imagine, I am dreading opening another storage tub and finding more craft things. Not that I don’t like crafting anymore – don’t be ridiculous – but it just means more hard decisions.

So I have taken to laundry, which is a much better way to spend my time. If it doesn’t fit it goes straight into the donation bags. And while there are loads washing and drying I can take the time to watch Table Top and use up scrap yarn that I feel bad about donating but can’t justify keeping.

So far, I’m stuck in mitered square wash cloth land.

In order from top to bottom:

1. Freckled Wash Cloth
Yarn: Lily Cream N’ Sugar [unknown colourway]
Yarn weight: Worsted
Needle: 5.0mm
Finished Size: 6″ square [44 stitch cast on]
Craft: Knit
Stitch: Garter

2. Spice Stripe Wash Cloth
Yarn: Lily Cream N’ Sugar [unknown colourway]
Yarn weight: Worsted
Needle: 5.0mm
Finished Size: 6.5″ square [46 stitch cast on]
Craft: Knit
Stitch: Garter

3. Spice Stripe #2
Yarn: Lily Cream N’ Sugar [unknown colourway]
Yarn weight: Worsted
Hook: 5.5mm
Finished Size: 7.5″ square [48 stitch chain]
Craft: Tunisian crochet
Stitch: Simple (knit)

Out of the three, the wash cloth I made using tunisian crochet is probably my favorite. It looks great – except for the tip. I’m not sure what happened there – and it’s twice as thick as the knitted squares. It will also, probably, retain its shape when wet which can’t be said for the knitted squares.

It was also really refreshing to TC again too. It has been way too long.

Back to laundry!
